What You’ll Do
- Plan and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations.
- Investigate incidents and complaints, finalising reports and enforcing compliance as necessary.
- Prepare and present statistical reports on inspection findings and regional cases.
- Conduct advocacy campaigns to promote understanding of labour legislation.
- Appear in court as a state witness when required.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of regional inspection plans.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate along with a recognised three-year qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, and Unemployment Insurance Act.
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict-handling abilities.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and report writing.
