What You’ll Do

• Plan and independently conduct inspections to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Confirm registration with the Unemployment Insurance Act and the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act.
• Investigate and resolve reported incidents and complaints related to the OHS Act and relevant regulations.
• Conduct proactive inspections as scheduled and compile detailed reports on findings.
• Plan and implement advocacy campaigns regarding labour legislation and analyze their effectiveness.
• Contribute to the planning and drafting of regional inspection plans and statistical reports.

What You’ll Need

• A Senior Certificate plus a recognised qualification in Civil Engineering at NQF 6/7.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Registration with a relevant professional body is an advantage, though not mandatory.
• Knowledge of departmental policies, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and related regulations.
• Strong planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer literacy and problem-solving abilities.
