What You’ll Do
- Provide clinical governance and leadership to facility managers at Clanwilliam Hospital and its clinics.
- Deliver specialist medical services in Family Medicine and emergency care.
- Conduct training sessions for students, community service staff, and Medical Officers.
- Engage in appropriate research initiatives to advance Family Medicine practices.
- Assist the Manager: Medical Services with human resources and financial management tasks.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care and community health outcomes.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification that allows for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Family Physician.
- Registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Family Medicine.
- For Grade 1: No experience required post-registration.
- For Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience as a Medical Specialist.
- For Grade 3: A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience as a Medical Specialist.
- Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB) and willingness to work overtime and at primary health clinics.
- Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to thrive in a high-stress environment.
- Basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
