What You’ll Do
- Provide specialist medical care to in-patients and outpatients in the Geriatrics Department.
- Supervise and train medical students and registrars in Internal Medicine.
- Participate actively in undergraduate and postgraduate training programs.
- Engage in quality assurance activities and handle administrative duties as required.
- Contribute to education, training, outreach, and research initiatives within the unit.
- Be available for after-hours calls and multi-disciplinary team responsibilities as necessary.
What You’ll Need
- An MBChB qualification and FCP(SA) or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Medical Specialist Physician with HPCSA.
- For Grade 1: No experience required; registration with HPCSA is a must.
- For Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ experience post-registration with HPCSA.
- For Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years’ experience post-registration with HPCSA.
- A demonstrated interest in Geriatrics is highly advantageous.
