What You’ll Do

  • Apply sterilisation processes and techniques effectively to ensure the highest standards of infection control.
  • Decontaminate, pack, and sterilise instruments, linen, and supplies.
  • Assist in cleaning and testing sterilisation equipment, including washing machines and autoclaves.
  • Maintain equipment in optimal working condition and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor and control stock levels, reporting and assisting with investigations of lost instruments or equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to promote a positive and cooperative working environment.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum educational qualification: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std 7).
  • Relevant experience in Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) operations.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and night duty.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Basic understanding of disinfection, decontamination, and sterilisation processes.
