What You’ll Do

  • Measure, manufacture, fit, and service all medical orthotic and prosthetic devices.
  • Assist in the supervision and training of students in the field.
  • Manage stores and inventory effectively to ensure resource availability.
  • Conduct multi-disciplinary outreach clinics to primary healthcare facilities on a monthly basis.
  • Perform ward rounds in various hospital wards to fit patients with necessary devices.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to patient care and device provision.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 along with a Diploma or Degree in Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics.
  • Current valid registration with the HPCSA as an independent practitioner in Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics (valid until 2026).
  • A valid driver’s license is an inherent requirement for this role.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the National Health Act and Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
  • Strong skills in service delivery innovation, problem-solving, and client orientation.
