What You’ll Do
- Provide quality outpatient care to patients in the Stellenbosch Sub-District, including at Stellenbosch Hospital and local clinics.
- Engage in clinical governance activities to enhance service delivery within healthcare facilities.
- Participate in training and development programs to foster skills transfer and academic growth.
- Offer outreach and support services to primary healthcare facilities in the region.
- Involve yourself actively in research initiatives that contribute to improved healthcare practices.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
- Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner.
- Relevant experience:
- Grade 1: None required for SA qualified applicants; one year for foreign qualified applicants.
- Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ experience for SA qualified applicants; 6 years for foreign qualified applicants.
- Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years’ experience for SA qualified applicants; 11 years for foreign qualified applicants.
- A valid (code B/EB) driver’s licence and the ability to perform Compulsory Commuted Overtime duties.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical and surgical conditions, including South African TB and HIV care guidelines.
