What You’ll Do
- Manage overall operations and performance of the Local Office, ensuring adherence to service delivery standards
- Provide operational advice and guidance for the Department at the local level
- Oversee the provision of critical documents related to citizenship and travel
- Ensure compliance with the Government’s Programme of Action (POA)
- Manage Local Office’s Immigration Inspectorate activities effectively
- Foster partnerships and represent the office in various stakeholder forums
- Implement and monitor the strategic objectives and operational plans of the Local Office
- Ensure effective governance and risk management processes are in place
- Manage human, physical, and financial resources efficiently
- Coach staff on regulatory compliance and service delivery excellence
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Public Management, Public Administration, Business Management, or related fields at NQF level 6
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Junior Management or Assistant Director role within a client service environment
- Knowledge of civic or immigration operations is a plus
- Familiarity with the South African Constitution and relevant public service legislation
- Strong management and leadership skills with a focus on client orientation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong project management abilities
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
