What You’ll Do

  • Process applications for presidential pardons and expungements, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Conduct legal research and case law analysis relevant to pardons and expungements.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents for approval regarding pardons and related applications.
  • Compile reports and provide feedback on the status of applications and legal processes.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals and departments to ensure effective case management.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to applications and legal findings.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF level 7 legal qualification or LLB Degree recognized by SAQA.
  • Up to eight years of post-qualification experience, depending on the MR grade.
  • Admittance as an Attorney or Advocate is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of the Constitution, Administrative Law, and Criminal Justice System.
  • Familiarity with Public Service Legislative and Governance Framework.
  • Understanding of the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury regulations.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent legal research and drafting skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and dispute resolution abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and handle pressure effectively.
