What You’ll Do
- Render laundry services while adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collect and maintain accurate records of linen from various depots.
- Prepare and disinfect linen for washing according to established procedures.
- Operate laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and ironing equipment.
- Inspect, mend, and mark laundry to ensure it remains in good condition.
- Iron, fold, count, and pack laundered items, sealing them in linen bags.
- Deliver and collect linen to and from clients, ensuring accuracy in counts.
- Report any defects in laundry machines to the supervisor and maintain equipment.
- Perform all laundry-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
What You’ll Need
- NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent) with no prior experience required.
- Basic understanding of laundry operations and equipment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work shifts, including nights.
- Physical strength to meet the demands of the position.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Honesty and reliability in all tasks.
