What You’ll Do

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Collect and accurately record linen from various depots.
• Follow procedures for preparing, disinfecting, and washing linen.
• Inspect, mend, and maintain linen to ensure it remains in good condition.
• Operate laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and ironing equipment.
• Count, fold, and pack laundered items, sealing them in linen bags for delivery.
• Sort and record dirty linen for processing.
• Report any machine defects or issues to your supervisor.
• Monitor the temperature of laundry equipment and maintain it in proper working order.

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent).
• Basic understanding of laundry operations and equipment.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work shifts, including night shifts.
• Physical strength to manage the demands of the position.
• Honesty and reliability in all work aspects.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
