What You’ll Do
- Manage all incoming and outgoing calls for the Judge
- Schedule and diarize appointments and meetings
- Type and file judgments and ensure proper documentation
- Receive and screen visitors in the Judge’s Chambers
- Maintain the court files and ensure readiness for court proceedings
- Handle correspondence and ensure it is filed appropriately
- Prepare and distribute court rolls for various motions
- Assist with travel and accommodation arrangements for the Judge
- Update registers for judgments and reviews in a timely manner
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate
- At least one year of secretarial experience
- A minimum of 20 modules completed towards an LLB, BA/BCOM Law
- An LLB Degree/Bachelor of Laws and a valid driver’s license are advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications and excellent numerical skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
