What You’ll Do

  • Provide secretarial support to the Judiciary, managing appointments and meetings for the Judge.
  • Type, file, and ensure the timely delivery of judgments and court orders.
  • Maintain records of incoming and outgoing documents while ensuring efficient administrative processes.
  • Prepare court rolls for various court proceedings and distribute them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in the administration of oaths and declarations during court sessions.
  • Manage travel and accommodation arrangements for the Judge, ensuring all logistics are in order.
  • Organize and maintain the Judge’s logbook and ensure compliance with vehicle maintenance schedules.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate is essential.
  • Completion of a minimum of 20 modules towards an LLB, BA, or BCOM Law degree.
  • At least one year of secretarial experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is advantageous.
  • Strong typing skills, including Dictaphone typing, and proficiency in MS Word.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
