What You’ll Do
- Assist in implementing efficient record-keeping systems that enhance organizational processes.
- Support the management of records storage and custody to ensure easy access and compliance.
- Facilitate the disposal of records according to the National Archives and Records Services of South Africa Act.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain up-to-date records and documentation.
- Contribute to promoting the principles of the Access to Information Act and other relevant regulations.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Archives Records Management, Public Management, Public Administration, or Information Science at NQF Level 6 recognized by SAQA.
- No prior experience required; this role is open to individuals who have not participated in any internship program in either the public or private sector.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the National Archives and Records Service of South Africa Act and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Strong skills in record management, financial management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with computer literacy and report writing capabilities.
