What You’ll Do

• Conduct thorough underground inspections of mining operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Compile detailed reports and maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
• Investigate surface utilization applications and make informed recommendations.
• Process statutory applications regarding mine surveying permissions and exemptions.
• Participate in mine surveying-related committees and attend seminars for ongoing learning.
• Perform practical mine surveying field tasks to support operational efficiency.

What You’ll Need

• A National Diploma in Mine Surveying or Mineral Resource Management (NQF 6) along with a Mine Surveyor’s Certificate of Competence.
• A valid driver’s license and a minimum of 3 years’ experience at a junior managerial level in Mine Surveying.
• In-depth knowledge of mine health and safety regulations and the policy framework governing the mining industry.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills.
• Proven management capabilities and excellent interpersonal relations at all organizational levels.
