What You’ll Do
- Lead the strategic management of public works, roads, and transport initiatives to ensure effective service delivery.
- Oversee the implementation of the Public Finance Management Act, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Manage the provision of risk management and internal audit services within the department.
- Ensure effective management of financial, human, and physical resources according to government policies.
- Foster a culture of innovation and client orientation, enhancing service delivery to the public.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to align departmental objectives with government strategies.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate postgraduate qualification (NQF level 8) as recognized by SAQA.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience at a senior management level.
- A qualification in the built environment is preferred.
- Strong capabilities in strategic leadership, people management, and financial management.
- Excellent research, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven integrity and a commitment to ethical leadership.
- Understanding of the political-administrative interface and government policy dynamics.
