About the Role
The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport is seeking a Deputy Director for Departmental Planning, based in Cape Town, Western Cape. What You’ll Do
- Plan and manage the departmental strategic and operational planning processes.
- Coordinate the compilation of quarterly and annual performance reports.
- Facilitate Batho Pele and service delivery improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the work and performance of the sub-directorate.
- Engage in people management and financial management activities.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with provincial strategies.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher).
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant middle management experience.
- Strong policy formulation and analysis skills.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and conflict management.
- Effective interpersonal, research, and report-writing skills.
- Competence in strategic planning tools such as SWOT analysis.
