About the Role
The Witbank Hospital is seeking a dedicated professional to take on the role of Head: Clinical Unit (Medical) Grade 1: ENT. Based in the vibrant city of Witbank, this pivotal position involves leading the ENT Department to provide specialized services to patients at the Witbank Tertiary Hospital. What You’ll Do
- Lead the ENT Department in providing specialized services to patients.
- Ensure clinical governance and manage quality standards within the department.
- Respond to medical and legal incidents as required.
- Manage human, financial, and capital resources effectively.
- Deliver outreach and support services to enhance patient care.
- Participate in staff training, including Registrars, Medical Officers, and Interns.
- Provide strategic planning and decision-making as part of the Hospital Executive Management.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant qualification allowing for registration as a Medical Specialist in ENT with HPCSA.
- At least five years of experience as a Medical Specialist in ENT following registration.
- Ability to work commuted overtime if operational requirements demand it.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of healthcare policies and frameworks, including Healthcare 2030 and the Ideal Hospital framework.
- Proven experience in clinical service delivery and continuous quality improvement.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in training and supervising healthcare personnel.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
