What You’ll Do

  • Lead the ENT Department in providing specialized services to patients.
  • Ensure clinical governance and manage quality standards within the department.
  • Respond to medical and legal incidents as required.
  • Manage human, financial, and capital resources effectively.
  • Deliver outreach and support services to enhance patient care.
  • Participate in staff training, including Registrars, Medical Officers, and Interns.
  • Provide strategic planning and decision-making as part of the Hospital Executive Management.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant qualification allowing for registration as a Medical Specialist in ENT with HPCSA.
  • At least five years of experience as a Medical Specialist in ENT following registration.
  • Ability to work commuted overtime if operational requirements demand it.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of healthcare policies and frameworks, including Healthcare 2030 and the Ideal Hospital framework.
  • Proven experience in clinical service delivery and continuous quality improvement.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in training and supervising healthcare personnel.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
