What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage the Neurology Department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Oversee clinical governance, quality management, and response to medical/legal incidents.
  • Manage resources, including financial, human, and material, to optimize departmental operations.
  • Provide strategic leadership and participate in executive management planning.
  • Train and mentor medical staff, including Registrars, Medical Officers, and Interns.
  • Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives in clinical services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare policies and frameworks.

What You’ll Need

  • A recognized qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Neurology.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience as a Medical Specialist in Neurology after HPCSA registration.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare policies, frameworks, and clinical service delivery standards.
  • Proven experience in supervising, training, and developing medical staff.
  • Competency in managing financial resources and driving quality improvement initiatives.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
