What You’ll Do

• Render catering services by following menus and special diet plans.
• Prepare ingredients for meals, including cleaning and cutting vegetables, and preparing proteins.
• Process and cook prepared ingredients for consumption.
• Serve meals in appropriate crockery, ensuring correct portion sizes according to dietary allowances.
• Pack food delivery trolleys and ensure timely delivery to various areas within the health institution.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by collecting used cutlery and crockery.
• Perform quality checks to ensure cleaning standards are met and report any hygiene issues to your supervisor.

What You’ll Need

• NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent) with no prior experience required.
• Basic knowledge of food services and food preparation techniques.
• Understanding of health and safety measures in food handling.
• Ability to operate food processing equipment accurately.
• Basic literacy skills and a keen attention to detail.
