Head Chef –Hospitality Fine Dinning

A premier restaurant group in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead their fine dining kitchen. This role focuses on culinary excellence and menu innovation in a high-quality, local ingredient-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Design and innovate seasonal menus with an emphasis on local, high-quality ingredients.
Oversee kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
Coordinate purchasing and inventory to optimise ingredient freshness and minimise waste.
Train and mentor culinary team members to uphold the restaurant’s standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef in a fine dining establishment.
Strong skills in menu design and culinary creativity.
Ability to lead and inspire a kitchen team.
Knowledge of quality control, food safety, and kitchen management.

Additional Information

The salary for this role ranges between R30,000 and R45,000 and is negotiable.
The position is located in Johannesburg’s Northern Suburbs.
