What You’ll Do

• Render catering services by following menus and special diet plans.
• Prepare ingredients for meals, including cleaning and cutting vegetables and preparing meat, poultry, and fish.
• Process and cook prepared ingredients for consumption.
• Serve food in appropriate crockery according to dietary allowances.
• Pack food delivery trolleys and ensure timely delivery to various areas within the health facility.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by collecting used cutlery and crockery and ensuring proper sanitation.
• Perform quality checks to uphold hygiene standards and report any safety issues to your supervisor.

What You’ll Need

• NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent).
• Knowledge of food services and food preparation techniques.
• Basic understanding of health and safety measures related to food handling.
• Ability to operate food processing equipment safely.
• Basic literacy skills and the ability to measure ingredients accurately.
