What You’ll Do

• Render catering services, including following menus and special diet plans.
• Prepare ingredients for meals, such as washing and cutting vegetables, and preparing various proteins.
• Cook and process ingredients for consumption while ensuring safety and hygiene standards.
• Serve prepared meals in appropriate crockery, adhering to dietary allowances.
• Pack and deliver food trolleys to designated areas within the hospital.
• Maintain cleanliness by collecting used cutlery and crockery, washing, and drying them thoroughly.
• Perform quality checks to ensure proper sanitation standards are met.
• Regularly clean food processing areas and report any hygiene or safety concerns to supervisors.

What You’ll Need

• NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent).
• Knowledge of food services and food preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with operating food processing equipment.
• Understanding of basic health and safety measures within a health environment.
• Basic literacy skills and the ability to measure ingredients accurately.
