What You’ll Do

• Administer the waste management licensing process, including reviewing and evaluating related reports.
• Assist in general office management, including financial and human resource administration.
• Monitor compliance with waste management legislation and enforce statutory obligations.
• Develop, implement, and review waste management policies, processes, and projects.
• Provide specialist advice on technical design aspects of waste management facilities.
• Facilitate public engagements and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

• An Honours Degree in Natural or Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred).
• A valid driving license (Code B).
• Registration as a Candidate Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) or a commitment to register with EAPASA by a specified date.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and waste management practices.
• Proven computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
