The Department of Employment and Labour is seeking a dedicated Employer Services Practitioner to join their team at the Labour Centre in Lichtenburg, North West province. What You’ll Do
- Market Public Employment Services (PES) to potential stakeholders to create job opportunities.
- Conduct recruitment, selection, referral, and placement of registered work seekers.
- Process requests related to International Cross-Border Labour Migration and provide guidance on available skills.
- Oversee the registration of Public Employment Agencies (PEA) and Temporary Employment Schemes (TES).
- Supervise the registration and referral processes for work seekers at the Labour Centre.
- Monitor and implement various employment schemes, Labour Activation Programmes (LAP), and Temporary Relief Schemes.
- Manage the administration of employer services within the Labour Centre.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant qualification in Social Science (Psychology, Industrial Psychology), Public Administration, Business Management, or Public Management (minimum of three years).
- A valid driver’s licence.
- At least two years of functional experience in a client-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of the Employment Service Act, Unemployment Insurance Act, and related legislation.
- Strong skills in planning, communication, computer usage, analytical thinking, and report writing.
- Proficient interpersonal, networking, negotiation, and marketing skills.
