What You’ll Do
- Manage investigations into misconduct cases and liaise with organized labour for resolution.
- Facilitate grievance procedures, ensuring compliance with public service rules.
- Represent the department in conciliation and arbitration processes.
- Compile thorough documentation for labour court cases and monitor adherence to timelines.
- Assist in collective bargaining processes and training services for educators and public servants.
- Conduct training sessions on labour relations matters and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of misconduct cases and appeal statistics.
- Provide guidance on legal implications related to personnel matters.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- A relevant 3-year post-school qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in employee relations or a related field.
- Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, Employment of Educators Act, and other relevant legislation.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and project management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate negotiations and resolve conflicts.
