What You’ll Do
- Handle misconduct investigations and liaise with organised labour.
- Facilitate the grievance procedure and monitor timelines.
- Prepare for conciliation and arbitration in disputes, representing the department.
- Assist in collective bargaining consultations with education unions.
- Conduct training sessions on labour relations matters and evaluate training materials.
- Maintain accurate records and manage sensitive information responsibly.
- Provide guidance on legal, financial, and personnel-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with management to promote sound labour relations in the public sector.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent and a relevant 3-year post-school qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in employee relations or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the Labour Relations Act and other relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and project management.
- Ability to facilitate training and engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
