What You’ll Do
- Render technical services to support engineering and technical activities.
- Assist Engineers and Technologists in various field, workshop, and office tasks.
- Promote safety standards in alignment with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and update technical manuals, drawings, and procedures.
- Prepare technical designs and specifications for evaluation and approval.
- Contribute to the budgeting process with relevant inputs.
- Compile and submit necessary reports and documentation.
- Develop and maintain technical databases, supervising technical personnel.
- Engage in research and development to keep up with new technologies.
- Participate in continuous professional development and liaise with relevant engineering bodies.
What You’ll Need
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a relevant qualification.
- Three years of relevant post-qualification technical (Engineering) experience.
- Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as an Engineering Technician.
- A valid Code B driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of project management, technical design, and analysis.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and computer-aided engineering tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
