What You’ll Do

• Conduct architectural activities on various state-owned or leased buildings and facilities.
• Coordinate professional teams, ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and health standards.
• Provide architectural advice and technical support in evaluating design solutions.
• Develop and implement architectural policies, methods, and practices.
• Review plans, drawings, and specifications prepared by building designers and other professionals.
• Mentor and train candidate architects and technical personnel to enhance skills and knowledge transfer.
• Supervise architectural work processes and manage performance development.
• Oversee office administration tasks, including budget planning and resource management.
• Engage in continuous professional development and research to stay updated on new technologies.

What You’ll Need

• An appropriate B degree in Architecture or a relevant qualification.
• A minimum of three years of relevant architectural experience post-qualification.
• Compulsory registration with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) as a Professional Architect.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of programme and project management, architectural design, and compliance with legal standards.
• Excellent decision-making, leadership, and analytical skills, with a focus on creativity and self-management.
