What You’ll Do
- Conduct architectural activities on various state-owned or leased buildings and facilities.
- Coordinate professional teams, ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and health standards.
- Provide architectural advice and technical support in evaluating design solutions.
- Develop and implement architectural policies, methods, and practices.
- Review plans, drawings, and specifications prepared by building designers and other professionals.
- Mentor and train candidate architects and technical personnel to enhance skills and knowledge transfer.
- Supervise architectural work processes and manage performance development.
- Oversee office administration tasks, including budget planning and resource management.
- Engage in continuous professional development and research to stay updated on new technologies.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate B degree in Architecture or a relevant qualification.
- A minimum of three years of relevant architectural experience post-qualification.
- Compulsory registration with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) as a Professional Architect.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong knowledge of programme and project management, architectural design, and compliance with legal standards.
- Excellent decision-making, leadership, and analytical skills, with a focus on creativity and self-management.
