About the Role
The Department of Health is seeking a dedicated and responsible Driver for Light Duty Vehicles to join their team in Khayelitsha. What You’ll Do
- Provide efficient transport services for health professionals and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles, reporting any defects promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of vehicles at all times.
- Execute transport duties according to a scheduled roster.
- Support daily transport administration and assist supervisors as required.
What You’ll Need
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Relevant driving experience with a valid code (B/EB) driver’s license.
- A valid Public Driving Permit (PDP).
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with accountability and strong interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness to perform duties involving physical exertion.
- Knowledge of transport regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures.
