What You’ll Do

  • Manage operations of Civic Services in accordance with service standards.
  • Oversee the issuance of enabling documents (e.g., IDs, marriage certificates).
  • Identify trends that may impact service delivery and development.
  • Ensure effective implementation of service delivery mandates.
  • Manage and enhance the operational footprint at various service points.
  • Provide expert guidance on operational matters within the district.
  • Foster inter-governmental relations to improve service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and departmental policies.
  • Lead project management initiatives to enhance service effectiveness.
  • Coach and empower staff to adhere to regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification in Operations Management, Social Science, or a related field at NQF 7.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Middle Management or Senior Management roles.
  • Extensive experience in Operations Management.
  • Strong knowledge of the Public Service Regulatory Framework and relevant legislation.
  • A valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel.
  • Completion of the Senior Management Services Pre-Entry Certificate upon appointment.
  • Excellent strategic planning, client orientation, and people management skills.
