What You’ll Do
- Manage and train a team of prosecutors to ensure high standards in case handling.
- Study court dockets to determine the viability of prosecuting cases.
- Prepare legal documents, including charge sheets and other necessary court proceedings.
- Present cases in court, lead witness testimonies, and cross-examine effectively.
- Assist the Senior Public Prosecutor with performance assessments of staff.
- Promote community involvement and partner integration within the justice system.
- Perform general administrative duties related to the office.
What You’ll Need
- An LLB or an appropriate legal qualification for those seeking promotion.
- A minimum of four years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Proven ability to act independently and demonstrate professional accountability.
- Strong management skills and the ability to guide complex criminal investigations.
- Proficiency in drafting court documents and charge sheets.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
