What You’ll Do

• Conduct thorough studies of case dockets to prepare for prosecution.
• Make informed decisions on the institution of criminal proceedings.
• Draft charge sheets and legal documents effectively.
• Represent the State in all court appearances and proceedings.
• Lead witness testimonies, cross-examine, and deliver closing arguments.
• Perform general administrative duties for the office.
• Foster partnerships and promote community involvement in the criminal justice space.
• Act in accordance with the Code of Conduct, Policies, and Directives of the National Prosecuting Authority.

What You’ll Need

• An LLB degree or equivalent legal qualification for serving prosecutors seeking promotion.
• At least four years of post-qualification legal experience.
• Proven ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Strong skills in prosecuting or litigation, particularly in regional court matters.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, presentation, and project management skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
