The Department of Local Government is seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Director: Specialised Support in Cape Town, Western Cape. What You’ll Do
- Manage the provision of specialized legal support to municipalities.
- Facilitate assessments and investigations regarding corruption, fraud, and maladministration.
- Initiate and oversee section 139 interventions, both discretionary and mandatory.
- Lead strategic management initiatives, including change management practices.
- Oversee people management and financial management within the department.
What You’ll Need
- A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) with a legal focus recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in middle or senior management roles.
- Strong competencies in strategic management and change management.
- Expertise in programme and project management, as well as people management.
- Solid financial management skills.
