About the Opportunity
The City of Johannesburg invites ambitious students and graduates to become part of its Paralegal Internship Programme 2026. Based in the vibrant Metropolitan Centre in Braamfontein, this internship offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in the legal field while contributing to the city’s legal and contractual processes.

Closing Date
Applications must be submitted by 08 June 2026.

Key Responsibilities
– Conduct legal research and report writing.
– Assist in filing and preparation of legal documents.
– Support litigation administration and legal support services.
– Coordinate legal and court-related processes to minimize legal risks.

Requirements/Qualifications
– Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
– National Diploma in Law, Legal Assistance, Paralegal or related field (NQF Level 6).
– Must be a resident of the City of Johannesburg.
– No prior work experience required.

Benefits
– Stipend of R10 109.86 per month for completed qualifications (minimum 360 credits).
– Stipend of R3 500.00 per month for 2nd-year students.

Required Competencies
– Proficiency in MS Office and computer literacy.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Coordination skills, litigation management, and understanding of court processes.
