What You’ll Do

  • Lead the planning, management, and coordination of social and evaluation research initiatives.
  • Oversee the management of departmental records and strategic knowledge resources.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation related to record keeping and resource management.
  • Drive the strategic planning process and evaluate the Directorate’s performance against key objectives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence in service delivery within the Directorate.
  • Manage financial processes, including budgeting and procurement, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, and performance management of Directorate staff.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate NQF 7 or higher qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant middle or senior management experience.
  • Successful completion of the Certificate for entry into the Senior Management Service (SMS) prior to appointment.
  • Understanding of legislation and frameworks relevant to social development and public service.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and financial management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to promote a positive work environment.
