What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the registration of work seekers and provide comprehensive employment counselling services.
  • Manage employer services to foster strong partnerships and job placement opportunities.
  • Implement work schemes aimed at assisting youth and other vulnerable groups in entering or remaining in employment.
  • Provide leadership and technical support across all aspects of public employment services.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of policies, performance plans, and work strategies.
  • Manage resources efficiently within the Business Unit to ensure optimal service delivery.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification at NQF level 7 recognized by SAQA in fields such as Social Sciences, Industrial Psychology, Public Administration, or Business Management.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a managerial role within Employment Services or Skills Development.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of good governance, departmental policies, general administrative procedures, and relevant legislation (e.g., PFMA, Labour Relations Act).
  • Strong skills in planning, organizing, communication, and leadership, alongside excellent problem-solving and project management abilities.
