What You’ll Do

  • Lead the identification and evaluation of financial and operational risks within the department.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive risk registers and response plans.
  • Design and implement risk mitigation strategies and internal controls.
  • Prepare detailed risk reports for senior management and relevant committees.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance risk awareness among staff.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of risk awareness.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the activities of the Risk Management Committee.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate plus a relevant National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Internal Audit, Accounting, Economics, or Compliance Management.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Risk Management.
  • Knowledge of Public Service Act, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), and risk management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in advanced MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent planning and organizational skills.
