What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain the organisational functional structure of the Department
- Conduct assessments to identify structural gaps and areas for optimisation
- Develop and review functional structures in line with legislative frameworks and strategic objectives
- Prepare organisational design reports and structural map updates
- Ensure functional structures align with approved business processes and service delivery models
- Analyze workforce distribution to identify shortages and surpluses
- Develop post provisioning models and scenario planning for decision-making
- Manage post allocation processes and ensure compliance with legislation and HR policies
- Liaise with finance to align funded posts with the compensation budget
- Implement human resource planning strategies and processes
- Monitor the implementation of HR planning interventions and recommend improvements
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Management Services, Operations Management, Human Resources Management, or a related field
- A minimum of five years of middle or senior management experience in a relevant field
- A certificate for entry into the Senior Management Services (SMS) from the National School of Government
- Comprehensive knowledge of the South African Criminal Justice System and Correctional Services architecture
- Strong understanding of public service policy and legislative frameworks
- Competencies in transformation management, HR policies, financial management, and people management
- Valid driver’s license and security clearance
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to network effectively
