What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement logistics, payments, orders, travel, and asset management policies.
  • Manage asset acquisition, usage, maintenance, loss prevention, and disposal in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual asset reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Coordinate logistics services including processing LOGIS orders and payments.
  • Liaise with service providers to audit invoices and performance reports for compliance and value for money.
  • Direct fleet and asset management processes within the department.
  • Manage travel management processes from orders to payments and reporting.
  • Ensure efficient flow of goods in and out of departmental stores.
  • Guide departmental staff on asset and inventory disposal management practices.
  • Maintain compliance and governance within the directorate.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant NQF level 7 degree in Business Financial Management, Commerce, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Finance. An Honours degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a Logistics, Payments, and Orders, Travel and Asset Management environment at a middle/senior management level.
  • Strong strategic capabilities and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of government administrative processes and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in Supply Chain Management, BAS, LOGIS, and Asset Management principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, customer focus, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
