What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate the implementation of primary and secondary legislation.
  • Oversee the conducting of socio-economic impact assessments for new legislation.
  • Coordinate reviews of legislation to ensure better social, environmental, and economic outcomes.
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of legislative programmes and plans.
  • Manage human, financial, and physical resources strategically.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF level 7 legal qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a middle or senior management role within a legislative development environment.
  • Admittance as an Advocate or Attorney.
  • Extensive experience in legislative drafting and development.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Constitution and the Criminal Justice System.
  • Familiarity with the Public Service Legislative and Governance Framework.
  • Strong skills in strategic capability, leadership, and project management.
