About the Role
The Department of Correctional Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Director: Information Management at the National Head Office in Pretoria. What You’ll Do
- Oversee the implementation of departmental records management frameworks
- Manage the knowledge management strategy and institutional learning initiatives
- Ensure compliance with PAIA and POPIA, including managing related requests
- Develop and implement training and awareness programs to foster a compliance culture
- Manage performance information and oversee human resources, finances, and assets
- Lead capacity-building initiatives within the department
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 07) in Information and Knowledge Management or equivalent
- A minimum of five years’ experience at a middle/senior managerial level in a similar environment
- A certificate for entry into the Senior Management Services (SMS) from the National School of Government (NSG)
- In-depth knowledge of information and records management practices
- Proficiency in computer skills and a valid driver’s license
- Understanding of the South African Criminal Justice System and relevant legislative frameworks
