What You’ll Do

• Develop and review provincial human settlements policies and legislation.
• Conduct research and market analysis to support housing sector initiatives.
• Manage the implementation of housing policy, strategy, and guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to housing norms and standards across the province.
• Develop and maintain a province-wide medium-term research framework in human settlements.
• Research alternative building technologies and products relevant to human settlements.
• Implement external knowledge management systems related to human settlements delivery.

What You’ll Need

• A Senior Certificate and a recognized Advanced Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree at NQF Level 7 in Public Management/Administration or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience at middle management level in policy development and research.
• Strong knowledge of applicable legislation related to Human Settlements.
• Pre Entry SMS or Nyukela Certificate is required prior to appointment.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Skills in strategic leadership, financial management, change management, and program/project management.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
