What You’ll Do
- Develop and review provincial human settlements policies and legislation.
- Conduct research and market analysis to support housing sector initiatives.
- Manage the implementation of housing policy, strategy, and guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to housing norms and standards across the province.
- Develop and maintain a province-wide medium-term research framework in human settlements.
- Research alternative building technologies and products relevant to human settlements.
- Implement external knowledge management systems related to human settlements delivery.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate and a recognized Advanced Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree at NQF Level 7 in Public Management/Administration or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience at middle management level in policy development and research.
- Strong knowledge of applicable legislation related to Human Settlements.
- Pre Entry SMS or Nyukela Certificate is required prior to appointment.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Skills in strategic leadership, financial management, change management, and program/project management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
