What You’ll Do

  • Manage the provision of geo-spatial information products and services
  • Ensure the availability and maintain information on geo-spatial products
  • Oversee established outlets for geo-spatial services, including Service Level Agreements
  • Provide aerial photographic reproduction and mapping services
  • Supervise and support Professional Land Surveyors in their duties
  • Plan and manage special projects related to geo-spatial information
  • Provide technical training and support for SAGC registration
  • Develop and present technical training courses and development projects
  • Support land reform programs with survey and advisory services
  • Maintain a specialized library and museum service related to geo-spatial information

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 7) in Geomatics, Surveying, Geographical Information Science, or a related field
  • Registration as a Geomatics Professional with the South African Geomatics Council
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a middle or senior managerial role in the geomatics environment
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Strong knowledge of geospatial information management, land surveying, and government structures
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills
