What You’ll Do

  • Manage daily financial transactions, including processing payments and receipts
  • Oversee debtors and creditors, ensuring timely collections and payments
  • Lead the preparation and review of financial workbooks for monthly and annual closures
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping and manage the central registry
  • Prepare audit files for both internal and external audits
  • Supervise the management of physical assets, inventories, and rental agreements
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and manage related expenses
  • Ensure the effective operation of mail room and telecommunication services
  • Provide expert advice on financial management and administration matters
  • Participate actively as a member of the executive team, contributing to strategic decision-making

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma (NQF Level 7) in Financial Management or Accounting
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing, with at least 5 years in a middle or senior managerial role
  • A CA (SA) qualification will be an advantage
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities
  • Proficiency in financial legislation and frameworks applicable to the public sector
  • Good computer skills and the ability to present information clearly
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required
