What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson, managing press releases and crisis communications.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders while overseeing public relations efforts.
- Supervise the production of engaging digital content across various formats.
- Drive the organization’s digital presence through effective social media management and audience engagement.
- Lead a communications team, providing mentorship in digital marketing practices and content strategy.
- Manage budgets and advertising expenditures while collaborating with external agencies.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze digital coverage for continuous improvement.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF 7) in Communications, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification focused on marketing or strategic communication is highly advantageous.
- At least five years of experience in a middle or senior managerial role in Communications, with an emphasis on digital marketing and media relations.
- Proven experience managing high-pressure situations, including national media crises.
- A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
- Strong interpersonal skills and strategic leadership capabilities.
