What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and lead public relations efforts.

  • Drive the department’s digital presence through effective social media management and campaign analytics.
  • Lead and mentor the communications team in digital marketing best practices and ethical communication.
  • Manage budgets and advertising spend while tracking performance metrics across digital platforms.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification (NQF 7) in Communications, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • A post-graduate qualification focused on marketing or strategic communication is highly advantageous.
  • At least five years of experience at a middle or senior managerial level in communications, with a strong emphasis on digital marketing and public relations.
  • Experience in handling high-pressure situations, including media crises and large-scale online campaigns.
  • Public sector communication experience is preferred, along with a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, strategic mindset, and resilience under pressure.
  • Multilingual proficiency and a commitment to ethical practices in communication.
