What You’ll Do
- Oversee the registration process for work seekers within the province.
- Manage the provision of services to employers to enhance job creation.
- Implement work schemes aimed at enabling youth and vulnerable groups to find employment or become self-employed.
- Provide operational and technical support to Labour Centres for effective public employment service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with Policies, Standards, and Operational Procedures related to employment services.
- Develop and manage Annual Performance Plans and work plans to meet departmental objectives.
What You’ll Need
- A qualification at NQF 6 recognized by SAQA in relevant fields such as Social Sciences, Public Administration, or Business Management.
- A minimum of five years’ experience, including two years at the Assistant Director level and three years in Public Employment Services (PES) programmes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ILO Convention, Financial and Human Resource Management, and relevant Acts related to employment services.
- Strong skills in planning, organizing, communication, and leadership, along with proficiency in computer and analytical abilities.
