What You’ll Do
- Monitor and manage payroll services to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
- Oversee the reconciliation of allowances and deductions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage the processing of salary freezes and recalls to maintain financial integrity.
- Address misallocations on BAS to streamline payroll operations.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to improve payroll processes and maintain high standards of service delivery.
What You’ll Need
- Matric plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Financial Management, Accounting, Commerce, or related fields recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the finance environment, with at least 3 years at Assistant Director or Junior Management level.
- Valid driver’s license, with exceptions made for individuals with disabilities.
- Sound knowledge of relevant prescripts and the legislative framework governing public service (e.g., BAS, PFMA, PPPFA).
- Strong competencies in people management, financial management, and problem-solving skills.
