What You’ll Do
- Monitor and guide the policy development processes within the UIF.
- Manage and oversee research studies that inform policy decisions.
- Ensure that policies are reviewed regularly to meet changing needs.
- Allocate and manage resources effectively, including human, financial, and equipment assets.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of policies.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Management, Development Studies, Public Policy, or Social Security Administration at NQF Level 6 as recognized by SAQA.
- Five years of relevant experience, including two years in Research and Policy Development and three years at the Assistant Director level.
- Strong knowledge of policy analysis, development, and management.
- Proficient in research management and quality management practices.
- Familiarity with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA) and Labour Relations Act (LRA).
- Excellent report writing and project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and statistical software such as SPSS.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage conflicts effectively.

Requirements
An undergraduate qualification in Social Sciences / Public Administration or Management / Development Studies / Public Policy / Social Security Administration at NQF Level 6 as recognized by SAQA.Five (5) years’ experience of which two (2) years must be functional experience in Research 17 and Policy Development and three (3) years’ experience at Assistant Director level.
